Our Vision
We're breathing new life into this historic gem — transforming it into a boutique hotel, wellness retreat, and wedding/function venue, nestled within its enchanting parkland setting. But this transformation is about more than restoration; it's a celebration of local culture, a boost to the regional economy, and an open invitation to travelers from near and far. In doing so, we are creating a new company under Thermae Aqua S.R.L, building a platform to bring our vision to life. Through close collaboration with the community at every step, we’re creating something truly special — where heritage, hospitality, and wellbeing come together. Villa Fiori will also bring with it endless job opportunities, as we’ll be hiring for every role essential to running a thriving hotel — from hospitality and culinary staff to groundskeepers, wellness professionals, event coordinators, and more.
The Villa
Architecturally, Villa Fiori has the grandiose of neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic elements with neoclassical forms. The villa will be fully renovated, restoring many of the original features and combining them with modern day luxury. Turning the building into an exclusive boutique hotel and events venu. The Park
The park will be reinstated to its former glory, spanning approximately 8000m². The central element will be its relationship with the stream, which will define the park's boundaries within the bend of the River Lima. Using historical information, the park will feature its original, elegant riverside turrets, stone battlement walls, walkways, and decorative iron railings. The garden, with its exotic plants and medieval-style turrets, will offer a glimpse into the property's glamorous past. The park's paths will offer pleasant views of the surrounding landscape, and a pedestrian footbridge will span the river, providing access to Europe's first casino. Various tree species, including planar, lime, fir, and cypress, as well as exotic plants, will all be protected and incorporated into the new development. The Glass House
The Glass House will be developed into a wellness destination resort and venue. Capitalizing on the natural springs and the site's historic significance, it has been designed with a modern take on the original intent of such a facility, aiming to reinstate Bagni di Lucca as the spa destination capital of Europe.The Glass House will offer a space for congregation and relaxation, whether alone or with friends.
